About Us
About Deer Tracks Junction
A Family-Owned Michigan Adventure Since 2002 – Hands-On Animals, Epic Fun, and Pure Joy!
Deer Tracks Junction is more than a place to see animals—it’s a cherished family destination where lasting memories are made through unforgettable, hands-on experiences you won’t find anywhere else.
We believe in creating meaningful, educational, and joyful connections between people and animals. Every single interaction—whether a child’s first time bottle-feeding a goat or a family cruising the safari together—sparks curiosity, builds cherished memories, and nurtures a lifelong love for wildlife.
What Makes Us Different
Here, you’re not just an observer—you’re an active participant in the adventure. Our park is thoughtfully designed to deliver:
- Hands-On Magic – Touch, feed, and interact with animals in ways traditional zoos simply can’t offer
- Family-Focused Fun – From toddlers exploring toddler-sized play zones to grandparents enjoying gentle encounters, there’s something special for every generation
- All-Day Destination – Two incredible experiences (walk-thru Animal Park + drive-thru Safari Park), award-winning massive play areas, fresh homemade ice cream, and endless surprises—plan to stay and soak it all in!
- Unplugged Connection – A full day outdoors, away from screens, focused on real family bonding and natural wonder
Our Story
Founded in 2002 as a humble family business, Deer Tracks Junction began with just a few animals.
The zoo has grown, evolving into a sprawling two-park experience caring for a wide variety of barnyard favorites and exotic species. Today, we invite you to visit, meet our playful animals, savor delicious homemade ice cream made right here on-site, make new friends, and maybe even take a pet home with you!
A Note About Our Animals
The wellbeing of our animals is always our top priority. They receive specialized diets and expert care in enriching environments—that’s why we insist on only feeding them food purchased here and ask visitors to keep trash out of exhibits. Please help us protect their health!
Some of our gentle farm animals—goats, pigs, guinea pigs, and rabbits—are occasionally available for purchase as pets. If you’re interested, please contact us.
We are fully licensed and accredited by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Michigan Department of Natural Resources (MDNR), and Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD). We’re proud members of Michigan Agritourism, Michigan Farm Bureau, and the Zoological Association of America (ZAA).
Come Be Part of Our Story!
From our small-farm beginnings to today’s wild adventures, we’re grateful for every family that walks (or drives!) through our gates.
