Adventure Awaits—Right Outside Your Window
The Drive-Thru Safari Adventure
Our Drive-Thru Safari takes you through sprawling, beautiful Michigan scenery where exotic wildlife roams free—and they can’t wait to meet you. Unlike other parks where animals stay at a distance, our furry residents are famous for coming right up to your vehicle to say hello.
The "Bucket-Feeding" Difference
When you enter the safari, you can purchase a specialty feed bucket. This is the highlight of the trip!
Hold your bucket out of your window, and watch as curious llamas, zebras, and even our giant bison reach out for a snack. It’s an unplugged, hands-on adventure that the kids (and adults!) will talk about for years.
Exotic Animals Right at Your Window!
Drive through spacious habitats where animals come to you—expect gentle (and sometimes slobbery!) interactions as they seek out treats. Highlights include:
- Giraffes – Our tallest residents stretching their long necks for an unforgettable close-up (a family favorite!)
- American Bison – Massive and majestic, roaming the grounds
- Llamas & Alpacas – Playful and friendly, often right up to your car
- Fallow Deer, Tibetan Yaks & Highland Cattle – Graceful and unique breeds
- Ostriches, Emus & More – Curious large birds peeking in, plus gazelles, antelope, and exotic surprises
- Black Bears – Watch these powerful animals climb, swim, and play from the safety of your vehicle (no feeding in the bear enclosure—all windows up, doors locked!)
Every drive feels new—animals roam freely, so keep your eyes peeled for who approaches next!
Rules of the Road – For Safe, Happy Adventures
Your safety and the animals’ wellbeing come first—follow these guidelines:
- Stay in your vehicle at all times – no hanging out windows, opening doors, or getting out.
- Windows fully up or fully down – partially open can trap heads (no exceptions!).
- Speed limit 5 mph – keep one car length between vehicles; stay on the designated safari road.
- Feeding rules – Only use feed purchased here (outside food can harm animals); hold bucket outside window, never hand-feed.
- Bear enclosure – All doors locked, windows completely up—no feeding, just safe viewing of these incredible animals.
- Vehicle requirements – Max height 9 ft; no buses, motorcycles, convertibles (tops down), jeeps without doors/tops, trailers, or riding in truck beds. Minivan sliding doors closed. Remove flags/bikes/coolers from outside prior to your safari.
- No pets or service animals – Not allowed in the safari (or premises) for resident animal safety (USDA rules). Service animals are welcome in the main building only.
- Other – No smoking, alcohol, firearms, harassing animals, or honking. Anyone breaking rules will be escorted out—no refund.
All guests agree to our liability waiver at entry. We maintain USDA, MDNR, and MDARD licensing for top animal care. Help us keep our animals safe, healthy, and happy!
